muqawwee, doctors are all kinds too - most are mediocre, corrupt etc. in a society where everything is corrupt you can’t expect angels for doctors - their professional ethics are going to reflect that of their surroundings. it is unfortunate, but you can’t reform just one tiny segment of your society - that too without offering them any special incentives.

Right queer, but again I think professional ethics not to play with patients psyche should come first. Abruptly uttering ’ tum la-ilaaj ho’ just a person came to consult you while you were doing government job (you are getting good incentives) and not at your private clinic ( to add to your other income) is not justified. I have compared such doctors with qasai, but some people compare them with dhande wali for this attitude.

They key point is plenty vs 1. I'll grant you that overall it's not as much of an issue. But I was simply presenting a case from the other view point. Factor in the family was originally extremely poor, and you have not only religion + status change.

Thats another sad aspects of the society.. where our inner Syed / Brahmin is not ready to accept / see a poor person serving the society with respect

Yes there are god people and by no way I was generalising. I personally met and watched Dr Adeeb Rizvis team working at SIUT. Dr Rizvi is amazing person. Allah unhe zindagi de
