doctor or patient

its a simple question…

If a doctor suddenly had a heart attack while doing surgery, would the other doctors work on the doctor or the patient?

Re: doctor or patient

i think hospitals are big enuff, with enuff staff to handle both.

Re: doctor or patient

but 1 surgeon ko heart attack ho jaye to sb doctors or nurses ki to dor lg jaye akhir 1 doctor ki b koi value hoti he

Re: doctor or patient

i can answer it simple ha...
1st of all it cant b happen..
operation theather iz for surgeon and surgeon should b quiet stable before doing surgery, so he or she cant get heart attak in theather..
or if it so unfortunately then that surgeon will b taken to emergeny immidaitely and other surgeon present there will continue that surgery, as hospital has enough staff.

Re: doctor or patient

nice n easy
no hassle
:D

Re: doctor or patient

the doctor should be well knowledged to know that he is exhibiting the symptoms of an heart attack, so even before he "stops" or "collapsed" due to the pain, he should excuse himself from the OT and call in another surgeon to take his place.

Re: doctor or patient

^yeah that, heard it from a real doctor now sara :smooth:

Re: doctor or patient

actually no, the symptoms of a myocardial infarction start hours prior to them worsening acutely and manifesting themselves in the typical bollywood fashion we see. there are plenty of signs that make a person aware of them getting an MI. what nutcut is saying that the surgeon should be quite aware of his health and if he is aware that he is at a higher risk of suffering from the acute symptoms of an MI during a procedure, he should excuse himself from a procedure.

Let's not believe everything bollywood tells us, shall we :)

Re: doctor or patient

you get a pain in your left arm, thats the sign i think
atleast that's what my dad got when he had a heart attack.

Re: doctor or patient

(ok i just had a week of MI and all that jazz, so if i sound like i’m showing off, i’m not, i’m just testing how much i remember )
