Why are doctors in Pakistan being targeted? Just googled doctor killings pakistan and there are a handful of docs who have been targeted for killing with no obvious motive in sight.

doctors are high profile individuals with no protection. most of the doctors killed are the targets of sectarian strife. the killers get more mileage by killing doctors, engineers and religious figures than by killing a man on the street.

Doctors are prime target for extortion. Because of the very nature of their profession, their whereabouts, hospitals, clinics and even timing of their availability and their days-off, everything remains in full public knowledge. So they become easy targets for extortionists. Unlike other professionals like engineers, pilots, lawyers, doctors cannot keep themselves in hiding.

Doctors are killed by sectarian mufsideen who are supported by Pakistan government.
This is why I say that Nawaz Sharif"s League is another manifestation of Modi’s BJP. Thousands of Muslims were killed in Gujrat with Modi’s support. Just like thousands of Shias have been killed with Nawaz Sharif’s support.
