guys think that human nature, character and everything else depends on one's "Zarf"?? (Generosity)..
Is it there from the start/birth or gets more or less by upbringing??

umm I’m reserving my comment till you give an example of what you have in mind ![]()
**You asking if human qualities are acquired Naturally or gained by Nurture and the environment one is raised in?
so here is one persons view on racial prejudice:
Princeton psychologist Susan Fiske suggests that humans are hardwired for prejudice.
Conditioned by millennia of tribal warfare and fierce competition for limited resources,? she writes,
we are always looking for cues to help us make snap judgments of others.
In other words, stereotyping may be adaptive?predisposing us to use easily identifiable physical characteristics
such as age, sex, and skin color to distinguish friend from foe.
Does this make sense or does it muddy up the water even more?

Humm ! it might be vary from person to person...
You should share.. I’m generally saying about humanity.. and that, most people lack “Zarf”..
Maybe I’m putting so much things in Zarf, but the lightheartedness is definitely a part of “Aala Zarfi”.. which results in patience, peace and brotherhood..
Right, but then it raises another point, what if fear of something is more than any of the things mentioned above like stereotyping?? OR on the other hand, choosing good or bad while growing-up?? and if the brain is choosing consistently good and worthy things all the time.. Why choosing it??
I do think science lack knowledge about most things, and science dont believe in Satan and Jins who are consistently squeezing every single body..

I think nature is different than character. And character is different than Zarf. But the latter two are closer than the former.
I believe a human nature never changes.
Character can be evolved. And so as the zarf. And yes thats where the upbringing comes in. Education and development plus the exposure play a vital role in these two
Nice.. but how can a kam-zarf person’s nature be good?? Isn’t it impossible??

Nature stays what it is. Zarf can be developed. If I’m not wrong Zarf is more of a attitude. It can be developed. Ofcourse it needs a strong intention and then some work. It also needs the realization of facts like ability to sacrifice, staying happy for others, stop looking down upon others and so many other things
Human nature is an interesting thing to think about. What is human nature? What is natural for us? At the most basic levels we are hardwired to eat, to sleep, to breathe, to excrete and to live until we die. Since we are an animal of a higher cognitive ability we now can self-reflect in a way other animals can't. Our complex social organization lead into all of this. A lot of things related to "character" is part of the nature vs. nurture debate. Are we naturally kind or malicious? I don't think things like "character" are fixed. Even if there is a genetic component to the way certain people may behave, it also takes environmental factors to bring out certain behaviors to certain degrees. We also have the ability to self-reflect and change. It's just that people don't want to do these things.
What exactly do you mean by 'zarf'?
Zarf is a characteristic of a person that distinguishes him/her from poor to high ranks in nobility, eminence and generosity.. may it be in responding as @SID_NY said, or be it ikhlaaq, bartao, verbal exchange, teaching, etc.. which includes everyone like children, neighbours, parents, enemies, relatives, liars, etc.
