I wear makeup to work everyday consisting of foundation (to cover up acne marks only ! ) and lip balm only. When I am going out (on weekends etc) I wear full makeup consisting of concealer, powder foundation, mascara and lipstick. This has only been the routine in the past 2 years- prior to this I had perfect skin but then after a breakout of acne I couldn't stand looking at the scarring and ended up getting addicted to foundation. Having said that though, I only use mineral makeup and I have found that it is fine on my skin with no additional breakouts or issues at all.
Doesn't makeup exasperate the acnes issues? I think that my analogy would be nail polish and how it doesn't let the nails breath out there.
I have cousins who are into makeup and they have serious acne issues. My aunt tried to get them to use some creams for it, but then it blew up as them being ugly and all. Women / girls and their notions of beauty....

It depends on the skin type. Some women do fine wearing full faces of makeup every day as long as they take care of their skin at night. Meaning, wash the makeup off, apply their skincare regimen, etc.
Some women who tend to have acne might have sensitivities and should be careful. Makeup can aggravate those who have very sensitive skin, yes. But it isn't true for everyone and a lot of people out grow it too.
It keeps changing depending on how my skin is that day. But usually it's neutrogena sunscreen if my skin is good or the Smashbox BB cream with SPF if I have some spots. Urban decay black eyeliner and burts bees lip balm.
But the truth is that I'm too lazy and most days I don't wear any makeup at all.
I wear mineral makeup everyday and, no, it doesn't aggravate acne. I actually don't have any acne, just scarring and that's from before when I used to wear NO makeup (hormonal acne). Having said that though, no matter how exhausted I am I will never ever sleep without taking off my makeup, cleansing and moisturizing thoroughly.
I love makeup so wear it everyday. Some days it will be a full face - literally eyeshadow/foundation/contour the whole package and some days I'll have the full package but just eyeliner instead of eyeshadow. It takes me about 20-25 mins to do a whole face. Doing my makeup so much I've quickened my speed. I love playing with makeup and I have so much that I really look forward to making up my face. My skin doesn't have any trouble with lots of makeup - I just use a daily scrub and a mask once in a while. Occasionally I'll go a day where I don't wear a scrap of makeup!
