I wash it every 2 days.. it is not good at all to wash it every day. Just style your hair another way on the second day if it gets oily. I usually tie my hair back on the second day.
i have to wash it everyday its just too oily and gross the next time...plus i excercise n my hair gets sweaty and i don't want germs...so i have to wash everyday
I used to wash it every day, in fact some times twice a day, became bit of an issue, however when my hair started falling out i stopped, and now only every 2 - 3 days, but i do try to keep it unwashed for as long as i can, but usually 3 days is the max
Okay so question for you then...does dry shampoo make your hair feel oily or coated? And what exactly do you do with it? Rub it in?
I have curly hair. If I straighten it out and then water touches it...its over. So I wash it everyday in the morning, style it and then I am good for the day. Now the next day if I do a body shower only...well the moisture will just drive my hair crazy so I might as well just wash it.
Its a vicious cycle. And I am scared of ending up with bald spots or something. :(
You are damaging your hair. The dry shampoo that I have is like a powder substance. You just sprinkle it onto your hair and then comb it. It doesn't feel oily or coated .... it just feels clean and smells decent (after a good workout, my hair stinks cause I sweat a lot).
My hair is extremely thick and wavy. I also have to straighten my hair every time I wash it. Dry shampoo saves me time.
Okay so this question is for people who used to wash everyday but stopped.
Did your hair go through a transitional phase or something? I feel like I had more hair fall this morning than I usually do :(
I skipped one day of hair washing in the middle. :(
It is better to stop washing your hair everyday...shampoo's have lots of chemicals in it that can trigger hair loss if not now, then at a young age....try skipping your hair washes to 2-3 days and then wash it again...
I stopped doing it, and yes the first, second week it's gonna be super oily because your scalp is used to being washed every day...you just have to get through it...after that, you're gonna start noticing your hair not being so oily the next day (of course it won't be the same as when you wash your hair)....it will be okay to put your hair in a bun or even braid it without looking like you dunked your hair in a tub of oil...but i suggest skipping more than one day 2-3 days is good...invest in a good dry shampoo...even baby powdering the roots helps soo much
like I stated in the previous post...you can actually train your scalp to stop producing so much oil, but it's gonna need patience, and over time you can actually train your scalp to stop producing less oil...trust me it's worth it in the long run
I have what people call, healthy but very very oily hair. I used to watch them daily as a teenager but not anymore. Washing hair on regular basis did create problems for me. Split ends, too dry and fuzzy plus hair fall.
Another thing I don't do regularly is blow dry.
When you are obsessed with cleanliness, its really hard to not wash them every day but I read a lot of articles on why its not good to wash hair everyday and it worked for me. If its going to work on anyone else or not is a separate story.
