Every 2-3 times a week. Exception is when I work out or have some place to go. (Washing everyday is such a hassle)

At the school where i work at, I have to wear hijab .....so I can go a day without washing. It's either everyday or every other day.

Do any of you use Dry Shampoo???
I wash my hair 2-3 times per week. Can't do it any more than that cause my hair is thick, wavy and the water actually damages my hair (according to different hair stylists).
I got Dry Shampoo for when I exercise on my lunch hour. I can't stand not showering, but I can't get my hair wet either ..... so I use this stuff on my hair and it works great!

Everybody should have a body shower everyday. Hair is different though. I wish I had the type of hair you could wash everyday, but I just don't.

I have to wash my hair everyday because it is really oily. If I dont have to go anywhere, then I try not to wash it for one day because I know its not healthy to wash it everyday.

ive heard ppl say this before as well... it made me stop and smell my hair... nopes.. only papaya and mangoes and lush goodness here! and i only wash it once a week.

Okay so question for you then…does dry shampoo make your hair feel oily or coated? And what exactly do you do with it? Rub it in?
I have curly hair. If I straighten it out and then water touches it…its over. So I wash it everyday in the morning, style it and then I am good for the day. Now the next day if I do a body shower only…well the moisture will just drive my hair crazy so I might as well just wash it.
Its a vicious cycle. And I am scared of ending up with bald spots or something.

hey guys who wash their hair every day! don't do it!! when you reach your late 30's early 40's your hair will start falling out and your scalp will show! because of the chemicals in shampoos are tremendous! I totally understand what you guys mean by looking gross and oily the next day, because I have thin hair which oils the next day and looks gross....i stopped washing my hair every day because it's really bad for you! It's not just the shampoo, when your hair gets wet it tends to break more...
for those of you that have oily hair, the hair tends to get oily because you wash it every day, your scalp is used to being cleaned every day and when it doesn't its gonna get oily...when you guys have a lot of downtime, try NOT washing your hair for a week or so and see the difference afterwards...your hair won't get oily the next day...its because your scalp is used to being washed...same as chapstick, when you use it every second, your lips get super chapped the second you stop using it right? same thing except the hair will get oily...
I know it's hard to stop washing your hair but trust me over time you can stop....I have thin hair which gets oily but I stopped washing it every day and only wash it 2-3 times a week....also when I wash i HAVE to blowdry/straighten my hair for volume which also is damaging to the scalp...
the next day use a dry shampoo and try different styles, wear a braid the next day (which looks really good on semi-oily hair), and then put it in a high bun the day after...
I've seen such a big difference in my hair being LESS oily since i've stopped shampooing every day! it doesn't happen overnight but you can literally "train" you scalp to stop producing lesser oil when you stop shampooing every day...

I can go without washing my hair two or three days. Invest in a shower filter plus good shampoo and conditioner (natural, SLS free).
Don’t use shampoos and hair products with harsh chemichals in them which leave behind residue and you find that you don’t need to wash your hair everyday.

I wash my hair everyday, It’s not the best thing for hair in general but of course knowing that I use a very mild shampoo (sunflower colour preserving from kiehl’s) to protect my hair from stripping their natural oil
Mehnaz, I also use dry shampoo (Ojon dry cleansing spary) on days when I know I am going to be out for a long time, it keeps my hair much softer and cleaner for that day since I have oily skin, besides that we have a kick ass rain shower so I actually look forward to my showers

twice a week, my hair doesn't get oily fast at all.
actually i dont ever remember when my hair was oliy.
i think my hair would start to get oily by the 8th day
but i've never gone that long without washing

Yup I wash my hair everyday. It looks great. I rarely skip a day without washing–I just don't feel clean otherwise.

same here! i feel sooo uncomfortable and dirty if i dont wash my hair every day.
plus my hair is curly and whenever i wake up in the morning, it's all tangled up and bushy! need to wash it so it can be tamed and also it can only be combed when washed as it is wet.
however, i do notice my hair is falling alot, probably because of the strong conditioner... i now wash my hair every other day (very unhappily)
go try it out for the next 3 mths to see if my hair volume gets better

Pantene Volumizing shampoo, makes my hair feel dry, clean and voluminous, exactly what i’m going for! I do condition the ends of my hair though otherwise it’s very hard to brush since I dyed my hair.
