I know this is going to seem really silly to some, and by no means is it an attempt to show-off. Rather it is an attempt to encourage one another to improve.

I know two people who are looking for one (one guy and one girl), but I am only interested in pairing up a guy with a guy and a girl with a girl. No girl-guy buddies. I dont want gunaah on myself. hehe

So, the idea is this.

Whenever its your buddy’s prayer time, you give them a call, an email, or a text, and remind them or encourage them. Obviously this can turn into a great friendship and you can discuss other things as well, but the main objective is to encourage eachother to pray. Oh, those namaz timers are not enough. I have one of those and I still dont pray regularly.

So, pleaseeeeeeeee dont make fun of this idea. Or I will cwy. Obviously this isnt for most ppl, but the point is, some ppl like this idea so I wanted to post about it.

Oh, I will be the first to say I am looking for one. A prayer buddy that is. hehe.

Feel free to desire more than one buddy, sometimes one person may not encourage you so much, but another one will.

I will simply tell you who is interested, and so you must give me permission to tell others, and you can decide.

Hello Munni: Not to brag, but Alhumdolillah, i pray five times, daily. So, i am willing to call anyone up and remind them to pray namaz. I can even call more than one person if you want.

I don't know how regular I would be in reminding someone else, but I'm up for it, insha'Allah.

This reminds me, just the other day an individual was telling me how she knows someone who would ask his brother to wake him up by punching him. I'd be more than happy to wake up or remind guppies using the method. ;)

I am more than willing to call someone in another country. I will be up studying all night anyway. afsoos

But hopefully people from different countries will be looking for one.

Great Idea. but I think you'll have to pair up people in the same time zone. For practical reasons. :-)

Good idea, but what if ones buddy turns out to be a cheapskate and claims they never have enough credit to call or text their buddy?

nice thread munni, alhumdolliah i pray 5 times daily. my friends and i do call each other up for fajar prayer though, and its funny conv. everyday. i'll more than happy to remind anyone to pray. i can call more than one person if you like. let me know :)
