do you think I am unreasonable...

by leaving my son with his nanny for 2-3 hours, 1-2 time per month?

So the siituation is that me and hubby have got too busy with our son, his business and life in general, so I suggested that we should go out atleat 2 times a month and have a peaceful meal or a movie. My hubby’s instant reaction was ‘what about adeen’ and I was like he will turn 3 in sept, we need to get some of our life back too since he is not a baby anymore.
So we went out last week, I was craving iranian, my hubby was a little ‘eeen’ when we were leaving. He tried to show that he was all ok with going out without our son, but I know he was a bit worried. I want to go out next week again.

Am I being selfish, IMO, no I am not…what do you guys think…please no mocking no making fun, this just a mother asking a question out of some concern

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

It ok :)

I believe you have seen Moive : Date NIGHT

and when life is busy , i feel this is a good way to stay in harmony

I don't have any children but almost all couples that I know who have children still go out for "dates" or "couple time" with OUT the kids.

Just b/c you become a parents, doesn't mean all the romance needs to be out of a couples life! In order to be strong, loving parents, couples also need to maintain the bond they have with each other as husband/wife.

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

NOPE...not unreasonable at all. It's good for Adeen to interact with other adults besides mommy and daddy....he'll be going to preschool not too long from now. You're fine :)

Re: do you think I am unreasonable…

 not unreasonable at allllll

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

as for as children rights, the couple also have rights to spare some free time togeather and its necessary to make strong relationship, the kid is in safe hands thou. its okay

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

You're not being unreasonable...at all. Its fair for you to want to do things with hubby.

I have a theory...I think we function best when we feel our best. So, I think for you to be a great mommy...you need that time with hubby. :)

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

Thanks everyone...you guys are so right, to feel better and taking a break from routine is a very good thing.

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

Completely and utterly unreasonable. Your kid deserves your attention and not some stranger who may not even feed him properly.

For shame....

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

Not a bad idea at all . But make sure its worth spending time together . Go bananas in romance :p

Re: do you think I am unreasonable...

Me and my hubby both work so we leave our children everyday with the nanny
