Yes i knew she was referring to coins, i do collect coins too from different countries and also my home country and the country i am living in but what i meant was i have not yet come upon another person who shares this habit of mine.
oh sorry for the misunderstanding ...
i think alot of ppl do ... but iv never come across a persont that collects 5,000 pennies before going to the bank :D
can i ask what u collect them in? and how u take them to the bank? how long does it take for them to go through them and get u the 50 quid :D and how long does it take to spend the 50 quid ... lol
Yes, even i am curious now. I collect also but i do not take those coins to the bank. I still have them all with me right now. My mom thinks they could be worth a fortune! I am crazy to keep saving and occupying important storage space in my room with those coins but collecting is a really bad habit of mine.
kewl ... but my bro doesnt go to the currency exhange ... he started off with US notes cuz originally we're from the states .. so he had a british note and and US note up at his place of work .. and then as customers saw them, they slowly started adding theirs and his collection grew from there slowly slowly ...
hmm I used to collect marbles... but I misplaced them when I was moving.. uskay baad kabhi millay he nahin... then when I was working as a cashier, back in high school, sometimes people used to give coins from different countries, mistakenly.. With managers permission, I started collecting those coins... and no I dont have them anymore either.. Some one I know had a bigger collection than mine, so I gave all my coins to him. :D
aliyish said it right. at times, the best thing is to have a sense of preservation in keeping a collector's collection of good books, which one may gift to the next generation, as the best gift ever.
Princess so it means your brother is in his early twenties? My brother is really young he is 13 and he does not work so the only way he can get his different currency collection going is use a bit of his pocket money everytime he goes to the exchange or ask for some cash from me. However, this is nice that your brother's collection started in a very unique way. Does he not get tempted to convert all the money back and spend it?
Rose, even i used to collect marbles or as in urdu you call them bantay. I used to play with marbles too. I do not know if young girls also did it, but boys used to play games with marbles and exchange them amongst themselves.
