Re: Do you talk to the dead?
Yes the our Nabi Pak Salalho Alayhi Wassalam himself spoke to the dead kaffirs after Badr and called out to them by name by saying things like…
“Abu Jahil
I told you this is what would happen.”
When questioned by the Sahabah if the dead could hear our nabi’s words our Nabi replied they hear everything that is said.
This is an actual hadis and there are many like it. The dead do hear us… and animals hear them. We cannot though for if we could we would go mad.
Also an old custom in my homeland was if your horse was being particularly disobedient you took it to a kaffir grave and tied it there for a while and after hearing the cries from a kaffir graveyard your horse would be so scared it would obey whatever you ordered it.
ok thanx..and any idea faris that whether dead people can hlp u in some way to ur problems??like they are close to Allah na…any hadith related to it or not?
Re: Do you talk to the dead?
Yes Walee means helper. I have always believed in Walee Allah. There are countless authentic ahadiths as to how a holy person who has passed from this world can still with Allah's grace help those left behind.
You can get countless ahadith to support this form the interent but proof is in the eyes as well many kings have had to go to the shrine of a holy person be it for an hier or for a victory... Even the British had to salute the awliyah of India during thier Raj.
Infact it is documented that viceroy Lord Curzon himself wrote that upon seing the Shrine of Kwaja Moinudeen sarkar e hind. In Ajmer he accepted that the true king of India was this saint... to whom all bowed thier heads in respect regardless of race or creed.
Also you dont need to be a saint... The koran specifies that a father can be a walee to his son and that a son can be a walee to his father and that each can do benificial duwa for the other.
Waissay Allah knows bests but the evidence is out there if you know where to look and have the time to see it.

Goodness, I guess this means I need to see a therapist since I’m apparently losing my mind ![]()
Maybe if noting else khud ko behlanay kai liyay, it’s enough to believe the deceased is listening.
Re: Do you talk to the dead?
^ Believe what you like. But know this... i speak from experience there is nothing that can make you do any good or bad without belief. It takes serious belief to be able to push on through come what may.
Belief is as much a part of any faith if not the number one factor... belief is everything.
Re: Do you talk to the dead?
Anything that sooths is good.
Can the dead hear us?
*Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, “Whenever a Muslim passes by and greets the grave of someone when he knew in this world, Allah returns the soul of the deceased to his body so that he can reply to the greeting.”
The abovementioned Hadith proves that the dead are able to hear. However, it also proves that only those who Allah permits that they should hear will be able to hear. While the Hadith tells us that Allah Ta?ala returns the soul, hence, they will only be able to hear the speech of one with the permission of Allah.

*Can dead Muslims hear us when we visit their graves?
After the battle of Badr, Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) addressed
the Kuffaar who were killed and thrown into the well. Upon enquiry,
Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘They (the dead) hear very
clearly.’
In view of the different quotations, many scholars have concluded that the
dead hear if Allah wills.
