I got this from religious scriptures. And I have no problem in accepting what U want to make me accept. Apostasy is considered a serious crime according to Islam and hence death is prescribed for apostates.
So what we are contesting on?

There is no verse in Quran that lays down a punishment for apostasy in this world, also according to the sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(SAW) apostasy is a crime only when it's combined with treason.
Death penalty for apostasy has been completely abolished few centuries ago by the Ottoman Caliphate.
Regarding Hinduism or Judaism, well in Hinduism, apostasy is classified as violation of cast rules and boundaries. Early converts to Islam in Britain were killed and also in Baghdad during the Mongols Budhists who converted to Islam were also killed. In Judaism, apostasy was once a crime but now it's abolished.
