at full prices or look for coupons & better deals?
i do like sales, for clothing stores... (very useful, and u can always be sure, what you are buying for 49.99 will come to 29.99, when the next seasons inventory comes into the store, 3-4 months later)... when clothing lines are on sale, it can be a challenge, to find the size u want sometimes but mostly i don't have that problem...
(btw, i have bought stuff like skirts/sweaters at full price from various stores, and 2-3 times this has happened to me: before i even had a chance to wear the clothes after buying (sometimes u just wait for right occasion/day for nicer more expensive clothes), the stores switched inventory and next season's stuff had come in, and guess what the stuff i bought at full price, and still hadnt worn, was half price! :-/ )
but i never can bother myself with coupons or sales for grocery/house hold necessity type items...
Re: do you shop ...
asda where selling robinsons barley water mixer 2 for £1, normal price was £1 each, so i stocked up as i buy this alot anyway.
French mustard was reduced from 50p to 20p so i bought 3.
I look at the near out of date shelf too, out of date stuff doesnt bother me, its all good and only a 1/3 of the price.
once along time ago in tescos near out of date petit yogurts 10p for a 6 pack, I bought nearly 10 of them lol
If you look around you can save money and spent it on more expensive treats

okay then :/ thats a bit too much i think... buyin expired stuff or close to expired stuff and stocking up on that.. would understand if u were to finish it before the expiration date.. but honestly.. is it really needed to be THAT much of a money saver??
Re: do you shop ...
^^ I make sure the stuff gets eaten quicky, but seriosly out of date stuff is good for 3/4 days after the date, its just a legal thing imposed on the supermarkets.
Also if you freeze it its good for ages. Like bread can be frozen and it defrosted as if it was fresh.
And i dont save any money, it gets spent on treats.

^ There was a documentary on TV about out of date stuff. The presenter actually bought and ate a selection of out of date stuff and kept a journal. i think he ate houmous that was 11 days past its date, and bread/cheese, even chicken that was 6 days past its date, and minced meat too. He suffered no ill effects.
Apparently a lot of shops / food manufacturers put the date on far too early in order to shift more stuff. People have to bin the extra food they haven't consumed b4 the date, then buy more.
Even this famous chef, anthony worral thompson cooked out of date food collected from BINS and said theres nothing wrong with it and he buys nearly expired stuff cheap from the supermarket himself - And he's a VERY RICH MAN!!!
Re: do you shop ...
^^ my sister and one of my friends are always checking the sell by date and if its even the same day they will not eat it, crazy. Its like a phobia.
