I don’t respect people for what they think or believe…of me or of anything else; primarily because I think that this is changeable.
I respect people for their actions and their conduct.
So whether or not they respect my ideas or beliefs is irrelevant.

I agree.

Respect is mutual for me. If someone’s actions are totally out of order they lose all respect in my eyes (e.g some relatives of mine). However I may still have to put on an outward show of respect at gatherings due to the age factor.
