sarad, take the initiative to get on additional projects, look at bringing in new approaches, solutions etc. make your job more exciting and challenging that way. The issue is that if you are doing the same old same old and your peers whether in your company or other companies are doing more and down the road you interview for the same juicy role…who do you think is more likely to get it?

one of my former bosses used to look at pals resumes and say, I am looking for someone with 10 years of experience, not 3 years of experience which is then repeated for 7 years. wise words… always keeps me thinking of what I am adding to my experience base and skill set

you are absolutely right! The job world has really evolved now or atleast thats what I have observed .. rather than carrying out routine tasks, u are expected to take charge, do new things and ur cv really should reflect u as a high achiever not a routine candidate ..

Honestly am also facing the same prob at work … thou its just been 8 months but its not challenging any more. PAying very well, but my learning curve has affected very badly and in Pak, u dont get good jobs that easily .. i m so stuck now. Praying that i can get hold of a better job (with some thing new to learn) soon.
