I think there are people who take cautionary tales and others’ life lessons and apply them to their own lives and others who would rather make their own mistakes and experience the good and the bad of their decisions.
Life is too short to make mistakes, so one should learn from someone else's mistakes- it's doesn't cost you anything and you don't have to make the same fault twice. Having said that, making my very own mistakes kinda helped me to understand the lesson I was taught better because it was me who had to face all the consequences, not someone else..
tough question.....I like to think that I've learned from other's mistakes but I'm sure that I can find some really bad decisions that I didn't have to take....
I generally try to learn from others mistakes, but there are few key instances where I want to make my own mistakes and learn from them, rather than be warned from not so desireable consequences of someone else's steps.
A human being who hasn't made a single mistake all his life doesn't exist. We all make mistakes, not necessarily drastic or life-changing, so it mightn't be a few years down the line that we actually recognise them.
from my teen years to my mid 20's I made all the mistakes myself (yes I have been that foolish) learned a lot of things the hard way, after those years I watch and learn from other's mistakes, hopefully I don't ever become 'Ibrat ka nishan' for others shudders
I don't think it's as easy to group people like that, I take advice to a degree but then realise that life is about making mistakes so it's a miss mash.
