of any effective methods to get rid of blackheads?
Re: Do you know...
The only way that works for me is steam and then pore strips. I know they are not recommended but nothing else is as effective. Even that tool to push them doesn't work as well.
Re: Do you know...
I swear that pokey tool thing is bad for you, and makes them come back worse??
Re: Do you know...
The original Estee Lauder Idealist Micro-D Thermal Refinisher was really good. I don't know about the new version.
I replaced it with Olay Thermal Skin Polisher.

I used to use the biore strips, but suddenly I got red marks on my nose from it even though it never happened before. So I've been quite reluctant since. Would steaming the face and exfoliating after get rid of it.

I refuse to believe that any product will magically get RID of your blackheads, no matter what you try, ultimately you'll have to TAKE them out, then you can use toner, products to close your pores and keep them clear so more don't form. Anyhow, so what I do is after getting out of the shower, right out of the shower, I sit infront of a mirror with very good lighting so I can see my skin perfectly. I take my old shirt that I was wearing prior to the shower (which will go into the laundry), flip it backwards and put both my index fingers underneath and gently squeeze the blackhead out, don't squeeze the hell out of it so your nose gets red but the reason I do this directly after showering is, you don't need to steam your face because the shower will take care of that. I use a piece of cloth or my old shirt because it's much safer than simply digging your nails into it, that can lead to very bad scarring and the squeezing out gently with a piece of cloth is pain free unlike those mini shovels they dig into your face when you're getting a facial.
P.S. i'm sure this isn't recommended, but when I do it once in a while, it works for me.
Re: Do you know…
^I’ll give that a try again, I always find that they dont all come out when I use that method. Mine became noticeable after I foolishly used a strip when I was 12 when I didn’t even need it.
Now I have to regularly remove them. For those that dont have any noticeable ones, please do not use the strips. They open pores which you never thought you had and will cause noticeable blackheads.
Re: Do you know…
Exactly, this is what I did as well. I used a strip a year or two ago, I’m now dealing with the consequences. I wished I never used it before, because they are so noticeable now and when I was using them had to do every week or something.

I'm too scared to even do this, just in case I scar my nose. lol
Re: Do you know...
I use the tool, and it really worked for me, I deff don't get blackheads as often anymore. But you deff have to steam your face before and ice it after(Rub ice cubes all over the part that gets swollen because of the pressure that the removing tool thingy applies)
Re: Do you know…
I do this too. Sounds gross, but it does keep the blackheads off. I’ve also tried the clean and clear blackhead scrub:
It works okay, but tends to dry the skin. I use it sparingly, combined with the home remedy above.
Re: Do you know...
Has anyone used the honey method, where you heat honey up and then apply to the nose and wait 10 to 15 minutes and then take it off and wash the face with water.
