For those whose ancestors have the surname or title Khan, were they in either case a) Pashtun (or from Afghanistan) b) Mughal or c) part of the British Army ??? I want to find out all the possibilities of how Khan could be acquired or be ascribed to. There are so many Khans from Pakistan but i just don't know how to tell what their background is.
