Maternal Grandfathers name: Shaheed Sabir Sahib
Great Grandfathers name: Manu Hussain Khan
Maternal great grandfathers name: Baba Alf Deen Shaheed
and if i go back 960 years, founder of our tribe was Baba Dil Muhammad.
And if i go further back my ancestors would have been part of the great Naiman, Uighur and Gok Turk allaince that stood beside the Great khan Burke and fought the first Mongol civil war. My ancestors can take pride in being both the worst and best kinds of human.
We converted to Islam trough the Qadiriyah silsila and came back east after the great khan Gahsan ordered the end of the western conquests. Pakistan seems to have been my tribes final frontier, although some of my tribe headed further east as far as Burma, Thailand, Laos and Malaysia.
I hope one day we can all be re-united and serve our faith once again.

That's nice to read about you Faris ....... My forefathers came with Muhammad Bin Qasim in Indo Pak ............ So at least me too know knows about it .......

Sannan, in which case your forefathers came to Pakistan long before mine. Nice to know that. Our rspective ancestors were seperated by about five centuries or more. I think in the days of Muhammad bin Qasim, my ancestors were still wondering horse archers and hunter gatherers.
^Very nice name. I take it he must have been a member of the landed gentry? Ussually that is the case with a name like "Ameer", "Mir" or "Mirza" or in Turkic "Murtzagh" an equivalant to Arabic "Murtazah" ussauly a name associated with some sort of martial heritage.
^ thats a bit harsh actually, sannan, it's not thier fault they want to be Modern. When they become old i am sure they will start running after the elders :)
I used to know a girl who never listened to her parents and i had to always tell her to be respectfull towards them, when she herself became a mother she told me how she wished she had learned more from her elders becuase her sons and daughters would not listen to her.
Tis a shame all my elders are beyond my reach now, i wish i can join them after i make them proud.
