It is a crippling effect that takes over the body…
But is fear outside or is it inside?
Fear is a word that relates to you and you alone…
When you go outside in the dark, and you see trees and bushes, you suddenly have a cold shiver run through your body…Did you just see a head? Did you see two eyes? Could there be a ghost? And suddenly, you start looking for a safe haven…
All because of some wind blown trees…Where was the fear? Was it inside or outside? What made your spine tingle when you went down to the basement alone…Ghosts? Poltergeists? Strange creatures? Or fear…
Fear induced by myth, legends and popular beliefs…Islam does away with all that, except Djinns, and even they hardly ever bother anyone unless provoked…
So, where was the fear?
The fear is inside you…It is there for a good reason…It is to warn you, and prepare you should the need arise…This instinct is the fallback feature of your genetics, preprogrammed by Allah :swt: to be activated whenever the need arises to take action…This activates your Adrenal glands to pump Adrenaline and your heart races to pump Oxygen faster and faster…
On one hand, the extreme of fear is Paranoid Schizophrenia…They say Jim Morrison had it, but who knows…
So the conclusion is that fear is inside you…That man looking at you strangely does not necessarily have a knife, but since you sensed it, be prepared…
Do not throw the caution of this instinct to the winds, and neither take it to the extreme by being overly afraid…
Take measures, and be not afraid…:AllahoAkbar:
