actually according to one Hindu scholar, atheists and agnostics are welcome to be themselves. there is no punishment or "burning in hell" kind of concept for non believers or atheists.
There are certain negatives as well as positives in Hinduism too as well as in Islam and all these ancient religions that were developed thousands of years ago. They need to change with the times
