Political pundits of Pakistan always rant that the elections in Pakistan can never be fair because:
Brathery system. People of one brathery will not vote for other brathery because of fear of becoming outcast in their own brathery.
Feudal system. The zamain dar, choudhery , tribal sardar tells the hari, kammi , kisan who to vote for.
Ethnic clashes. Sindhi will not vote for a punjabi leader and Punjabi will not vote for Baloch leader etc.
Nawaz shareef election slogan ‘Jag Punjabi jag tery pug no lag gia daag’.
But if you look at the constituencies of NA or PA, they are so big that any one brathery or any one Feudal lord will not be able to influence the election results.
Ethnic background of a leader might be a factor but a charismatic leader can overcome that barrier.
