You have understood the concept of a soulmate very well. I have soulmates just like you but each is in a different sphere of life. I have a lebanese business soulmate with whom I can discuss any business deals however stupid. We have trusted each other with many thousands of dollars. Then there is another (a woman) with whom I only talk about familiy problems etc.). Mine are also males and females.

I think a soulmate is someone you have a physical bonding on top of mental alignment. I could be wrong. Why mate if it's only mental?.

Arvind.. yeah its taken me time to get to this point :)

i discuss most things with all my "soul mates" ie family/work/guy stuff.. but with each of them its a different thing.. for one i may be like an elder sis and to other like a lil sis.. its wierd but quite lovely if understood

mine’s Gizzy :gizzy:

Without having read the above posts, I ask this question: what the heck is a "soulmate" anyway, as defined by you guys. If a soulmate means someone who you can relate to (and vice versa) on almost all levels, who can sense your every emotion, every heartbeat, etc. well my next question is, who is to say that this type of a person has to be your spouse/significant other/boyfriend? It can also be just a really good platonic pal, no?

I happen to be a very congenial person and I find that I get along with a few guys really really well on many levels but in my eyes, they are only friends at best. I can't ever picture being married to them, for example, regardless of what the feeling may be on the other side. So I guess if the definition is applied one way, I have a few soulmates?

Am confused about the definiton of this word. Please clarify what it means and/or whether it has more than one meaning.

SP: Soulmate is someone who you can share the most deepest of feelings, fears, happiness while in bed they reciprocate. Now do you have a soulmate?

mine is Mem Saab :-)

I think a souldmate isnt, and doesnt have to be your spouse of other half.. It could be anyone who you can share anything and everything and can talka about everything and you have no secrets.

That makes you a soulmate playa MehnazQ.

:) I think a soulmate is someone you would feel comfortable with.. telling them absolutely anything and they wouldnt judge you or make you feel crap.. they'l always be there for you.. and if it develops into love and progresses to marriage (male & female!!) then it would be fabulous.

^^

Right on.

No. Allah ki marzi.
