Have you ever seen the person who pretends to be talking on their phone to either make themselves seem more important than they are or avoid talking to someone else and then RING!!!! Their phones goes off and gives up the game :D

that is so 2001. times have changed. now you have fake-a-call apps - set it with a timer - 10 secs for the obnoxious auntyji walking towards you, and just as she opens her mouth to get you into a conversation, your phone rings - urgent call from haspataal byeee aunty ji!

It's rude if you're like standing 2 steps away from the person and he/she pretends you don't exist. It's alright if you're a bit further away where the possibility that you just didn't see the other person could seem plausible. (Aho, that is my fatwa!) I'm guilty of the latter.
