the famous places of Nihaari in Karachi use Camel’s meat in the nihaari and not beef ?
So, have you eaten camel’s meat in your life? How did you like it?
I remember eating it the first time when back in Madinah Munawarrah recalling my early childhood memories, outside of Masjid-e-Nabawi - like in front of Baab AL Majeed or Baab-un-Nissaa, there used to be a pakistani restaurant called “Bahaa-ud-deen zakariya restaurant” … right next to it, was a small shwarma shop… I used to love that “Samooli” - camel meat in italian bread … yummy…
AQ are you kidding ? Sabri Nihari, Taj Mahal , Mullah Ahmed etc all use camel meat ? How authentic is your source of information ?
Waisay in Karachi some people used to spread rumors about even the donkey meat being used for nihari and seikh kababs's , nobody ever was caught doing that.
as far as i know, camel meat is super expensive so i dont think they would tell u that its beef and put in camel meat, and camel meat tastes and looks totally diffrent.
yeah i have had camel meat but i didn know that wat i am ordering has camel meat in it.
but it was a wrap dish so i couldnt tell by looking at it but i knew its not beef or mutton after taking my first bite, my first concern was holllyyy, halal place serving pork lol, then i asked em and they told me its camel meat.
it wasnt bad but m not looking forward eating it again.
AQ is right .. in some places they use .. camel meat is quite famous for nihareee :)
Not that I have anything against camel meat , but I would be interested to know the names of those places and do they let the customers know ? Or it is just hearsay ?
I know it is not haram , or taboo, on Bakra Eid many people give Qurbani of camel in Karachi. I have not knowingly eaten camel meat so I do not know the difference , but I have had nihari at many places in Karachi but could never tell the difference as to what kind of meat was used.
