Acceptance is not the same as belief. Hindus accept Islam, but do not believe in it. From what I am hearing, Muslims do not even accept Hinduism as a religion since the consider Islam as the only religion.

Wrong.

Muslims accept all religions. We do not agree with them and we may not see eye to eye with them but we sure as hell tolerate them. Sure enough some people don’t but bigots have no single religion of their own, they come from all over the place. Examples to the acceptance of other faiths include the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) practiced friendly diplomacy with the Monotheists and Polytheists in that region.
