I am not talking about respect and acceptance of a neighborhood uncle or aunty who happens to be a Hindu.

I that does not mean that we feel the same about hinduism too. Yes we respect hinduism but do not accept it. I am not sure why we should apologize for that when its not even a negative trait. You are just presenting it as negative trait.

As a Hindu, I do not feel that Muslim beliefs are any less than mine. They are just different. As a Muslim, can you honestly say the same about Hindu beliefs ? Moreover, is that what is written in your religious texts ?

And I am just contrasting the difference in the philosophy behind both religions - its not meant to be judgemental.
