Its funny…iv noticed that minority populations in the UK seem to forget their prejudices once they get here…
I have an Italian girl who works for me…shes a black girl born and brought up in Italy…shes spoken to me about racism in Italy etc…but since shes come here all the Italians are so nice to her…and these are also Italian emigrants…
This iv seen with French people aswell…they hate blacks and arabs in France but once we get to the UK we’re french…

i think it has to do with someone from your own country in a foreign country just lke you.. u connect w/ each other based on that one thing ou have in common, your country.. coming to a new country, new culture is not easy..

They have experienced being an outsider in another country and have empathy for others who were in a similar position.
They are in a foreign land and find solace/camaraderie with anyone vaguely belonging to their culture. Familiarity is good enough.
