it might be a record breaking day in Southern Ontario in terms of heat and humidity. the temp might tought 39 degrees [38.8 degrees was the highest temperature ever recorded at Toronto Airport] and humidex might reach 50 degrees.
considering the weather conditions and since i work on research farms during summer and suffer from wheezing, i decided to take a day off today. i would rather be safe indoors than risk a wheezing attack out doors.
my question to you guys is: have you ever taken a day off of work due to extreme weather?**
Re: do you ever take time off from work due to BAD weather?
My company closes only if the road travel is not possible due to snow on the roads otherwise you are expected to go to work everyday of the week.
Luckily being IT worker I have the option to work from home so I opt to work from home on some days of the week and on bad weather days.
Re: do you ever take time off from work due to BAD weather?
indeed, you are a lucky person to have the blessings of working from home. natuire of my work is such that i rarely can work from home and during summer it’s impossible. i can’t bring farms to my home lol
