Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

like something to remember from that city/town. I only collect refrigerator magnets!

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

I usually buy something that is unique to the country/region I'm visiting. I try to stay away from the rather gimmicky, non-authentic touristy stuff though.

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

i also collect fridge magnets and my fridge has no room for more...i've a good reason to buy another fridge for my Bhabhi. :)

i don't buy stuff from the touristy places because they are outrageously over-priced. i go in-town [downtown] to get them at a fraction of the price.

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

Most of the times I do buy Souvenirs. But I don't always buy the same time. So it's a fridge magnet from one place, a plate from another and a snow ball from the next, etc.

Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

Yes totally. Buying souvenirs is always my preference whenever I visit. Wut else is better than that

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

We travel very often within USA and used to buy State Bears from airport gift shops. I said used to cause we have not bought a new one in months now, as we keep going back to the same states. Here is the pic of our collection.

Sort of i buy stuff that i need or ive always wanted to try from that country

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

No. The less stuff in the house, the better.

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

I did not buy it from the city.

Fridge magnets at times & always a postcard. I right away put the date on the postcard as a reminder to what year we went along with the reason we went. Idea was to eventually create a wall full of postcards in black photo frames in the game/media room at our new house.

Yes, I always buy. I've a little place for all the nit picks hehe.

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

We used to.
Now we just pick up a key chain that our daughter likes to collect.

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

I try to only by something unique/local from wherever I’m visiting. One of my most prized “souvenirs” is a paella pan from Spain

Last summer we went to Lancaster County/Amish Country in Pennsylvania and I bought a homespun apron from an Amish lady who was selling them outside her house

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

i like collecting shot glasses -

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

You mean the Amish woman wasn’t shunned for engaging with “English” folk?

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

I haven’t been to many places :hinna: but not really souveniers…mostly just shopping.

From Pak, obviously clothes and stuff
from LA, I got a cute pair of sandals :cb:
from Canada, I’ll bring back candy that I can’t get here :sid:

Re: Do you buy Souvenirs when you visit a place

i’ve heard that EATMORE chocolate bars are not available in the US…

…whalt other chocolates you can’t get there?

They’ve discovered commercialism lol
