Astronomy has its origins in astrology.
Astrology is not completely a myth but it is an actual science - however how it relates to personalities and how people try to do match making based on that is not a science. That part if the money making schemes of people.

PT Barnum Effect is a well-known deceptive strategy used by astrologers, palmists, and other "fortune-tellers" in helping them provide "accurate" predictions.
The strategy involves wording the "predictions/fortunes" in such a way that it would apply to most people. Those that are not aware of this method tend to get sucked in and believe that the fortuneteller is very "talented."

While we were in college ( a long time ago :)), a soothsayer came to the room that I was staying with my friends. He took one look at my face and said about a life chaning event that would happen to me when I am of this age. The event actually happened in exactly the same way that he mentioned. I really dont know what to make of this event. Was it destined or was it my folly. I would never know. I only know that my life has changed in a way it should'nt have...
