Do women have to....

Pray namaz e Jummah?

i don't think it is mandatory, according to Islam, for females to attend jumah. Obviously if we do, we still get sawaab for it - but it is not an absolute requirement as it is for males. That's my personal opinion based upon what i have read, have no sources for it at the moment, will post them here later if i find them.

I know we're not required to do so IF going to Jummah means we will be traveling alone on the streets to Jummah and could fall victim to other men/people saying things or doing things to us. Also because women have small children to care for..thus we are not obligated to go to Jummah.

HOwever, a sheikh I heard said that he believes that the benefit of attending jummah, community closeness and listening to kutbas are important and women should be highly encouraged and assisted in attending jummah.

So no it isn't obligatory but yes if you can attend...do so.

I wasnt actually refering to going to the mosque to pray, I was wondering if maybe women had to pray it at home?

^
at home, man or woman, can not pray jumaa....
he/she has to pray the zuhr prayer as in other days....

Thank you armughal.

Armughal is rite:k:

and all these years I had been praying salatul jumma at home...:(
