Its common sense you need two people to have an affair. As in any case of human interaction there is usually one person who “controls” the relationship. In the case of an affair in a heterosexual couple it is the woman.
Why?
Simple. If a woman does not wish to sleep with a man, he can’t do much about it. However I have yet to meet a man who said no to sleeping with a woman who wanted to jump his bones. Taking into account the rising move of equality amongst women and their empowerment and empancipation you have more women hunting now than ever before. So they can be sexual active and choose who they wish to sleep with.
In that regard shouldn’t they hold more blame than the man if there is an affair where one of them is married?

unfortunately mr arrogance, not everybody is as logical and practical as you. Some/most/few do let emotions take over which of course isn't smart, but humans are prone to mistakes. what up with being so uppity
but there are men that are also the tempters though, the ones that possess the control. you know how temptresses are always seen as evil, I see tempters as also being just as evil. just like you point out that a woman should have self control so should a man in seeing that it would be more decent to not try to tempt or "see how far he can get" with a woman that is clearly emotionally in love with him. or are we to assume that most all men are incapable of doing the decent thing and will do the scummy thing if given the opportunity like vultures?
i'd like to think that there are still a few good men that are honorable and respectful and wouldn't take advantage of such a situation like vultures to their prey
