Or anyone who knows about Afghan recipes? I’m looking for two Afghan recipes and hoping that someone here has those recipes, preferably tried and tested. One of them is called Roat or Rote - it’s sort of like cake as described by ammi - and other one is called kolcha or kulcha that are basically cookies.
I saw them in this Afghan store and they looked like naan khatayee - only there were about 6-7 different varieties of kulcha cookies instead of that plain old naan khatayee. Bought them for $6.99/lb and they tasted awesome with chai. Since these are kind of cookies I’d always like to keep at home without making a hole in my wallet, I’d like to bake them myself.
So people, please share these two Afghan recipes - or any other Afghan recipes that you have tasted/tested and loved - if you have or find them.
