Re: do we get a pleasure from watching someone dying
My question was purely based on what you mentioned as “State Terrorism” in the context of people being invited to watch death of a criminal. If you say one event “State Terrorism” then why not other???
My answer: I don’t think it is State Terrorism by any means. Regardless if the death is being displayed in close confinement or out in open if a proven and convicted criminal is executed.
And Timothy’s death was displayed on video made available for even random people to watch. Whole process including the presence of a priest and him looking out the window before dying was recorded. Still not wrong in my opinion. If people can learn from it then all good.
Now you mentioned about something very different. Faces of death type videos are/were available on internet to be seen by anyone. Maybe those days internet was not common. Now people all around the world can watch these videos…with different intentions.
Hard to judge people as being sadists in general. Some may be and some may not be.
Re: do we get a pleasure from watching someone dying
Just adding to my previous point.
Yesterday I saw some car went over green belt, side walk and was slammed into a pole.
Traffic was moving slow police and fire trucks were at the scene.
I ,like, every one else slow down took a good look at what had happened. Clearly some moron wasn’t keeping his attention
on the road while driving.
So my brain did the math, that this would never happened to me. Because I pay attention.
And about one minute later, I read my messages on the phone, and typed one long message, all that while driving
