society in general sees women merely as baby-making machines?..

Re: do u think pakistani ..

Some do , some don't.
Some think she is food making machine some don't.
Some think she is a life partner some don't.
Some think she is their best friend some don't.

Re: do u think pakistani ..

Re: do u think pakistani ..

I like the way you emphasized on "society in general"......

Yes....pretty much!

Coz education will change it but it has to change in Rural Areas of Pakistan (having 80% of population over there) to change the way how women are perceived and it will take centuries to change our society in general......

Re: do u think pakistani ..

This is a message to everyone in here and to those people who will come in here in the future

It is possible, we will not have these so called centuries you are talking about :)

Re: do u think pakistani ..

i find you irritating.

yes.i agree..but education is coming in rural too..so at least we're getting there..:)

by ur avatar it seems u find a lot of ppl irritating..:D

I agree..education is coming into rural areas too, but here what I meant was not the type of education that teaches us to do 1+1 and abc but where ....ummmmmm.........we can read through a book and make the sense out of it......

Where one can carry a nice and logical conversation with others...and many many other things......

In our country, yardstick to measure literacy is almost like...if one can write down her/his name then s/he is literate...whereas definition of literacy will be totally different in a younger country like Japan.......

And another point is also, that state and religion should be separated in our country too...but that is totally diferent debate!.......

But in short, education will only help when mother/father and grand mother/father are educated and to achieve this in our rural areas, we need to see concerted efforts for maybe another 4/5 decades.....lets trim it down to decades...though realistically or pessimistacally I still think it will take centuries!...

....hav u seen what happened in khuda ke lye? i know its just a movie but we can learn a thing or two

yes u right..i agree with these points..:biggthumb

i know!..iman ali’s husband in the ovie just got all his city education washed over with brutal fundamentalism..aaaaaaahh..scary..that part where they were making her sign nika nama by force scared me....especailly when samad was forcin her(thats guyz name in there right?..her ousin whom they got her marreid too..i forgot)..
thats some thakia nussi jahalat man!
