as far as i know, it means "the land of pure".. it also abbreviates for the provinces of pakistan and kashmir. what u did is fine too.. it's just that some ppl might not be ok wid it..

Pak = Pure
Istan = Land
A land of Pure Peoples ....
Also, When we say Paksitan ka Matlub kia "Laa ilaaha illal Lahoo Mohammadur Rasool Ullah" *So its First Kalma Tayaab which also means (Pure - Pak) *
But its our love for home land so we can create some more meanings of every word. But basically its Pak Istaan :)

N - Nation (a nation requires unity. Pakistan is faction vs faction under old feudal systems)
But I still love the place.
Pakistan needs land reforms like those India carried out soon after independance.
63 years on from independance and the issue is still not being dealt with.
Feudal system makes it easier for the politicians to hold control over large chunks of the population through patronage.
Pakistan will never prosper or become a "nation" whilst these ruling minorities carry on as they do.
The urban elite need to take responsibility and at the same time improve the lot of the poor rural communities.
At the moment... there is NOTHING to be proud of.
