I am not a superstecious person at all but i do believe in buri nazar - maybe because my family has gone through this a lot - if i write the whole detail then it will take me ages so i'll just stop, but if i am not mistaken then its written in the Quran as well about this.

I have my doubts about Nazr-e-bad, but if any such idea crosses my mind i read this dua:

Allahumma La ya'AAti bil-hasanaati illa anta wala yadfaoossiyyiato illa ant

O Allah no one brings the good except you and none wards off the evil except you

I have some personal experience that it is true and there are people who's Nazar can be very harmful.

I recite Charoon Qul and Ayat ul kursi.

in a way..yes. someone jealous of something u have that they dont might try and harm u in some way. so buri nazr lagtee hai but figuratively speaking.
