do u ask or do u take

Girl - can use a plastic card.

WIFE - cannot just use a plastic card - because kids ask for "cheegum" money, snacks money, mother's day gift money, pizza / coke money, burger king TOY money.... all of these are cash monies... they do not accept credit cards for anything under $5 :(

so cash is needed... but with dignity, not begging :)

Re: do u ask or do u take

No matter how much I love my wife, I don’t see myself giving her a debit card linked to my bank account :hmmm: And like NJ said, you can not go around using a card for petty purchases. She can just ask for money, that is her right, and the man shouldn’t refuse without a legit reason.

No, I meant where the loving husband will transfer money over to the wifes account each month

an what a perfect world we live in..:)

debit is as good as cash…comes straight out of ur account.

I would not use debit card, and I would not recommend anyone to use a debit card for small purchases... because you know - all these small things add up. In plastic you cannot see that. In cash, you HOLD the money and take responsibility - which plastic just cannot allow you to.

So I say cash money is better. Even kids SEE the money and learn responsibility. In plastic/debit they do not get to see it so they cannot learn the value yet.

You’ll never give your wife a debit card??? So she always has to be dependent on you to ask for money if she isn’t working??? Whoaaaaa

Re: do u ask or do u take

^ apparently you missed the last sentence.

Re: do u ask or do u take

but why does she always have to 'ask' you for the money? why can't she withdraw it from a joint account?

Re: do u ask or do u take

^she can and should, jaanwar just likes to feel like hes in charge like all pathetic men. :)

and credit cards are good for small and big purchases as long as u can pay them off. they give u points specially AmEx.

Re: do u ask or do u take

^ what you women lack, sweetheart, is basic courtesy. When you take money out of someone's account - or a shared pool, you ask the other person - that does not make you inferior.

Rationale - I don't know about you noble women, but I don't come from no royal family, I have to keep an eye on my budget, and sometimes I have to keep myself from buying stuff that I am really inclined to buy. So perhaps if you ladies manage to hunt a guy who needs a personal accountant to manage his finances, spend away.

Re: do u ask or do u take

That's fine as long as u also are telling ur wife when u r taking out the money
