What’s the difference between syed’s and the Ummah? My friend is a syed and she talks like they will get like a special entrance and while we the ummah will have a harder time getting in. That they r a part of Prophet (SAW) family while we r his Ummah. What’s the difference.

thats what i said bro...she was one of the best of women ever so if she had to earn her janna then who are we today? as u said it very correctly everyone has to follow the teachings of islam that came down upon us in the form of Qur'aan and sunna. Allah's mercy may be showered upon whoever he may choose. May Allah give us hidaaya and taufeeq to walk on siraat ul mustaqeem. aameen**

Syeds are the descendants of Prophet Muhammad (s) and hence carry great honor in this regard. however, there is no automatic entry for them.

yes indeed they do, well said. but also there are certain things that distinguish them from non-syeds i.e. cannot receive sadaqa from non-syeds

Lusis not a bro (as far as I know.. gulp) and Fatima Zahra (sa) was the best woman ever, not one of them.
Some sayyeds are more pious than non-sayyeds and vice versa. It really doesn't give you any brownie points when Munkar and Nakeer question you in da grave.
