I saw the movie “separate lies” and have seen similar themes in some other dramas/movies. Do such men like James Manning actually exist? I cant beleive they do.

Not just one affair rather an ongoing affair, he leaves her at his lovers house, she goes to take care of the ailing lover, while he is waiting for her to get over it!

i cant imagine handling such a situation if the roles were reversed...i.e. the hubby was having an on going affair and therefore i cant imagine it as a guy either...i just think either partner should be willing to put up with something like this.
but yes such men do exist, i personally know of one example

his wife had an on going affair with one the guys from his own family,
he stood in the side lines waiting for her to come to her senses and she did,,, she asked him for a divorce after a 4 year relationship with a guy from his family (that he knew about) and now she is married to the guy she had the affair with...
so basically her ex husband wasted four years keeping quiet and hoping for her to come back to him but she chose to go with the other guy...
i feel like he cud have been divorced and moved on, but instead he was in agony over the uncertainty of the whole situation for four years (thats not easy)...
he does not regret it...he says he was married to her for 17 wonderful years had two daughters with her and it was worth the 4 years of suffering to try to save it...even if he wasnt successful...he feels that he cud have been successful

I know someone too.
The lady had an affair with another guy in town. She had grown up kids. Eventually both families got the masjid involved. The respective spouses took their cheating partners back. I salute them.

kyunki iske liye bohot hausla, himmat, aur patience chaahiye that level of hausla himmat and patience are worth saluting...not necessarily the actual act itself

I do know of a similar person, but they were not a normal couple to beging with. Both used to drink, go to nightclubs together, flirt with opposite sex in view of each other. Later on the wife ran an affair and wanted divorce but things didnt fall in place and she went back, but they needed each other for financial reasons and not for anything else.

I do know this case where wife ran away with her husband's friend. She was having an affair with guy's friend and now just they got divorced. And now her ex-husband is happily married to someone else.
