Nice topic.
In my opinion a smart chap can suffer instead of all the smart decisions and moves that person makes because of bad luck. And a stupid person might lead a happy successful life because that person was at the right place at the right time because of his/her fate.
But if he/she did not get that chance and stays on the track of stupidity he/she will be more miserable than a smart person who would know what is wrong with his life and will take steps to fix it but a born stupid will not.
In some case intelligence is a learned skill and in some cases it is bestowed by Allah .

to be honest this is how the world works there are stupid people who makes stupid desicion that will somehow benefit someone else,n i dont really believe that someones can be smart all the time i ve seen smart people goin stupid and same goes for stupid people

No matter how smart you are some time there are elements, in a given situation, which you don't know or you can't anticipate.
As result you may suffer as much as a naive person.
Thats way we have to pray and ask for guidance no matter what our IQ level is.

I agree
have a harder life than the average person or do you think its all fate whatever happens in our lives..so if its fate/kismat intelligent people suffer just as much as foolish decision makers?
i agree with everyone here who says its not necessary smart ppl are happy or dumb ppl are unhappy or vice versa. even the smartest ppl cant make the worst decisions of their lives.. but i must say smart ppl have an edge, they are aware of their surrondings, they know how to react or respond to ppl and situations... they are alert.

hmm.... first one huh! gud point... so many illiterate ppl are smart becuase they have the business skills and are sharp. i guess everyone one of us has the skills ure talkin abt but it just needs to be tapped... ppl should know how to unleash it.

Yes, you are right smart people are better aware of their surroundings and also education gives them a big lead. I agree that sometimes some irrational decisions can be made but mistakes are made by everyone. No one is perfect, this is why we learn from our mistakes, sometimes the illeterate people do not, this is where us people who know how to think and have education with us have an edge.

I agree, but see those people who are successful but they are not educated they always have that nudging feeling that they are not educated. When you are a businessman and the rest are educated and can speak better english than you and write better than you plus converse better than you with other people you will automatically feel it and no matter how successful you are or how much money you have this feeling rarely goes away. Also this lack of education almost always comes up in the kind of personality you have.
