this to all my sikh brothers and sisters and esp to rani .i was in amritsar some time back and i visited the golden temple .in the golden temple there are various pictures showing killing and torture of the sikhs at the hands of mughals or muslims as they are projected .tell me is it necessary to show al those pictures and paintings to the sikhs and other visitors who visit the place any one who sees those pictures returns with hatred for the muslims .is it wise on the part of the present day sikhs do show those ancient stories to the present generation of sikhs.what happened to the sikhs was very bad during the mughal rule .many of the sikhs were killed by the tyranical rulers and perhaps that gave rise to the militant form of sikhism .guru gobindsingh wanted to avenge his fathers death so he mobilised the sikhs into being militants to fight the mughals it was his personal vendatta. but the present day sikhs are wrong it reviving the history.sikhs killed more muslims in 1947 more than the mughals so should we the present generation of muslims kill every sikh that comes our way ?should we keep the flame of revenge alive?

but as long as those paintings remain in golden temple every sikh will hate muslims
I've been to the Akal Tahkt, and seen those pictures.
These pictures are just reminders of what happened. And to show Sikhs and even others, that through the struggles they managed to prosper. They in no way potray muslims of being evil. They potray as the Mughals as being evil enemies of Sikhs. You will see, there is no reference on any of the picturs indicating these Mughals are Muslims. Sikhs don't care what religion it was, they just know it was the Mughals. Whether they be Hindu, Christian, Muslim, or even Zoorastrian. The fact is pointed that it was Mughals, and if they happen to be Muslims, blame that on History, not on Sikhs.
Sikhs killed more Muslims than the Mughals ever killed Sikhs? This is a very inaccurate statement. Only times when many Muslims were killed by Sikhs was during partition, and the number is less than 50,000. But, for the Mughal reign of over 500 years, MANY MORE Sikhs died throughout that time. If they didn't, there realy would be no such thing as the Khalsa!
I do feel some of the pictures still are uneccesary, as their are almost walls full of these pictures, but it is just to show you what Sikhism is, and what the Khalsa reallly came out of for. Many Sikhs , younger ones, and even older ones never understand the purpose of the Khalsa, and why it was needed heavily, until they realize the injustice. If Sikhs were never oppressed, the Khalsa would never exist.
