Don’t know about diagnostic practice, but antibiotic resistant bacteria shows how natural selection and survival of the fittest works. a mutation favoring bacteria to survive lethal dose of antibiotic. they reproduce and their offspring inherits this characteristic resistance.

It is a belief that it proves theory of evolution true. Does the bacteria change into another new type?
