islamically it is allowed
my niece is married to my cousin and 1st cousins are married to each other
It is not acceptable in western world but acceptable in islam
and one cousin is married to someone totally out of the family never met them b4 type…and unfortunately that’s the cousin who has a child with downs syndrome,so the theory of marriage within families breeds illness goes out the window…
all rishtay should be naik shareef and not nit picked…baki allah kay kaam hai..
p.s. when you have so many good rishta in the family why go out…
OK, so my mother is friends with this women who herself is married to a cousin, whose parents were cousin and whose daughter is now engaged to *her cousin. *I mean, the daughter of the woman is engaged to the her mother's cousin. Sorry if this sounds confusing; it's pretty messed up.
Anyways, have you guys heard of marrying your parent's cousins? Isn't that a little weird, marrying someone who's like you Khala or Mamu?
Someone has been hitting the cough medicine again.
I dont see what is soo odd bout it? My mother's cousin is the same age as me and she even has cousins younger than me.
All depends on when a person gets married and when they have kids. My mom got married before a few of her mamus.... So nauturally had kids first meaning her mamus that got married after i was born.... Well they have kids younger than me....
And now... I have pretry young mamus in their 30's... One mumani is expecting a baby after me. Infact i have cousins younger than my own son..... So i can easily find a rishta for my son among my own cousins....
It does not go out the window just because of one incident. I don’t have anything against cousin marriages but excessive interbreeding does narrow down the gene pool. It doesn’t necessarily mean children born of such marriages will have defects but the likelihood still increases.

I was shocked out of my mind when I first found out. I was 13 or so back then. Yeah, it was an exaggerated response (we called them mamu etc) but it seemed extremely weird at that time.
And the obvious example is Prophet Mohammed's daughter.

why do you confuse? why don't you simply ask what your thread-title asks? is that so hard?
