Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

Do we like / dislike tans?

Are tans caused by exposure to sunlight natural, or would u say that tanned skin is NOT natural.

Why do some Pakistani’s / or ppl of Pakistani origin dislike dark skin?

Do negative opinions of darker skin lead ppl to have insecurities about their tans / dark skin colour.

Your opinions please, don’t hold back, we need to discuss this issue!

first of all

skin colour doesnt matter...

and second, alot of pakistanis, such as myself, have pretty white complexion, when not exposed to sun

but when im exposed to sun, im as dark as the average pakistani , in pakistan :D

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

yeah i believe so.people are mad about fair or light skin.especially for girls.its sad but it is true.

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

I recently came across an Indian living in NJ who is as dark as an Afro-American, he was telling me how bad the area is on the other side of bridge "wahan kalay rehtay hayn", I should've said "are you talking about mirror?" but then I didn't say it :D

Thank you for the honesty. U c i think its true as well, some ppl i know will not admit to it, but their actions speak louder than their words.

LOL!!!

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

Its not only with Pakistaniz, dark skin is considered as color of slaves. White men ruled the world and from Africa to East india they ruled the people of color. Now all over the world people of color are in an inferiority complex and wants to turn their skin color to match master's skin color.

So yea its some thing in the blood and will take centuries to fix.

So why are ppl waiting for the forthcoming generations to fix it, why don't they fix it now?

Is it all in the mind?

What about the time when the Moores ruled over Spain. Or when Genghis Khan had everyone in cahoots. They all had deep coloured skins. or forget that, go back to the time of the Pharaohs of Eygypt. They had the Israelits for slaves which were ppl of lighter skin, Hazrat Yousaf, considering him a wonder of beauty was a slave … Or when Salahdin Ayubi was rounding up ppl. Slaves were of all colours.
The reason why mostly black ppl are associated with slavery is because Since the time of Egyptian Pharaohs (note: an African country) the surrounding areas nearby mostly populated with dark ppl, so anytime the royalty wanted to gift another worthy one, they’d send a local slave, which subsequently were dark in colour…now these are my opinions because gathering from what i’ve read, thats what I’ve concluded (I’ve to look up origins of slavery though).

Just because the tropic skinned ppl are more laid back, enjoy living in tropics, peaceful, love siestas and don’t get much invested into ideologies like: “invasions” doesn’t mean that the white man is superior. Its all a mind game. White man has been restless, perhaps because they could’ve decended from the line of Neandertals, and they want to do all these great things to makeup for that loss, since the homosepians killed so many of them in the beging giggles They’ve always had to suffer the brunt of misfortunes. Except that the darker ppl took things for granted, food was in abudance and they had more time to party. White man, had to put up with cold, conquering new worlds to bring home more riches etc so they can compensate for lack of whatever at home front. Come to think of it, England didn’t even had potatoes to begin with. They had the specie shipped over and thats how their plantations came to existance.

Unfortunately the people of subcontinent are worst when it comes to the superiority complex, and thats just cuz they let the English rule over them so they think they are superior…although much of the ideas that have made the west civilized are all adopted from Muslim spain. The English only were after the spices and the minerals. But jahil log got carried away with their looks :smack: giving them cookies when initially they cud’ve just left with a cup of milk from the holly cow of India. Unfortunately the English were smart and plagued the minds of ppl to stand up and break up the continent, they beat us with thier 'Divide and conquer" rule… giving us notions such as co-existence is impossible between muslims 'n hindus ( I still don’t buy that, it was possible for so many centuries before the english arrived, and like as if that brought any peace to the land at all…we’re still busy fighting, You’re a pathan and I’m punjabi, u’re a mahajir and I’m a falan, u’re a suni, i’m a shia war)

An interesting observation slightly off topic. The first homosepian originated from Africa…God knows what their colours were, but interestingly enough they found mostly Neandertals in the European continent, having the featers of distinct cheekbones, fairer skin, lighter hair… and they were not all that bright at all to begin with … so basically they just stole our brains, otherwise they’d all be dumb blondes

Regardless, much kudos for the white man. He’s worked his way up taking up on immense challenges. They’ve over come it with hard work, determination and vigour. Too bad for the rest of the world taking things for granted and imagining we’re living in Utopia :hoonh:

ps. the reasonings above are all in notion of good humour. anyone taking offence should not dwell much into it :snooty:

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

Yes I whole heartedly dislike dark skin. I am biggest campainger of fair and lovely. :)

I don’t buy that either…

However, back to the topic, i have noticed a lot of colour comparisons going on between the different groups within pakistan, superiority / inferiority complex bcos one group is fairer skinned than the other. WHY??? How can the colour of your skin make u a better person than another?

Wiseman, please tell us why u dislike dark skin? On yourself or on others?

I am NOT a campaigner of fair and lovely bcos of the horror stories i have heard about the damage it can do to yr skin in the long term.

Re: Do Pakistani’s have a dark skin complex???

I guess only those ppl have a problem with it that aren’t happy with themselves and can only be satisfied though external beauty. This goes for all colour types, prefering fairer skins.

Which means they are insecure, non-brilliant, lack self-respect, are fat fascists, God knows what else. Saying in German accent: *“I Spit on such ppl” *:snooty:

Muslims have forgotten what hazrat Mohammad (p.b.u.h.) had said ::kisi goray ko kalay per and kisi kalay ko goray koii bartari nahi siwaye taqwa ke"
agar woh yeh samjh lein to problem fix ho jaaye, ham apna deen bhooltey jaa rahey hain isi liye to aisay ketey hain.

Technicaly speaking tans and skin color are two different things.
tan is temporary, skin color is permanent.
It is human nature that they do not like the skin or hair or eye color they are born with.
Many gora people admire dark black hair and color of Asian skin. The tanning process is an effort to change the skin color at least temporarily.
Inferiority complex is the reason why some people feel insecurity about their skin color it has nothing to do with negative opinion. You will see some people with physical disabilities are so very confident but many with perfect limbs , health , face and body will be very insecure.

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???

The desire to be considered lovely is not something that will ever go away. And yes, the majority of Desis I've met consider fair skin to be more desirable. As a gori, I grew up baking myself in the sun to get darker - no sunscreen just baby oil - and now I pay the price of premature wrinkles, moles and freckles galore and the worry of skin cancer. Just as those who seek to lighten their skin will worry. I guess the grass is always greener yeah? But the most mature of us will simply seek healthy skin with even tone. NOTHING beats the beauty of glowing, healthy skin no matter what its color. And as far as attractiveness, there is nothing more lovely than a gal who has confidence in herself and a cheerful disposition. And thats true whether its in the company of females OR males. EVERYONE admires those who truly live and exude those traits. Skin color only goes so far yeah? A serene, happy and beautiful personality on a crisply shining clean person can out-do even a supermodel as far as being seen as attractive.

I worked with a woman who (if you looked carefully) was quite honestly one of the ugliest people I'd ever seen. Her lower jaw was way too small, her upper was way too big with buck teeth, her eyes were tiny with the kind of flaps that Greta VanSusteren had. Yet she was gorgeous. She dressed to the nines. She smelled like a garden out of heaven. She was so very physically fit, not an extra ounce of fat anywhere on her. And she was proud, cheerful, confident and comfortable in her own skin. She advanced rapidly in her career and she loved her life because she loved herself. That counts so very much more than where on the rainbow your skin color happens to be.

Re: Do Pakistani’s have a dark skin complex???

I am white, am I still Pakistani ? :bummer:

Re: Do Pakistani's have a dark skin complex???
