Do Pakistanis eat Dahi-Poori?

Do Pakistanis eat Dahi-Poori?
This is a highly serious matter I assure you.
One of these days I might end up in Pakistan and I must make sure my diet is provided for.

Of all the ‘Chats’ I simply love Dahi Poori.
I mean Pav BHaji and Paani Poori are great. but still when it comes to a snack I MUST have Dahi-Poori!!

Will I get it in Pakistan?

Respond urgently. This is an Existential Question!!!

What's it made of?

There's dahi-bharay, is it the same thing?

we don't know what is pav bhaji, dahi-poori and paani poori.

Dahi Poori is when you have little 'Pooris' stuffed with Dahi and other 'Chat' and half a dozen served at a time.

What's Dahi Bharay?

Pani-Poori is when you have little Pooris stuffed with 'Mutter' and there's lemony solution in a pot and the vendor dips the 'Poori' into the pot and gives it out!!

You guys don't have them?
How Pathetic!!!!

Andhra you don’t know what dahi-bharays are?

http://www3.pak.org/gupshup/smilies/rolleyes.gif

They are awesome,I found the recipe for you my friend, try it out and don’t die of food poison. Btw if you goto Pakisan, visit the food street in Lahore, they have pratically every food there, you will be satisfied

And all others who were curious what the hell is Dahi-Poori, look into this link:
http://www.geocities.com/inrasoi/Chat.html

Dahi-Poori is basically like “gol gappas” in yoghurt.

I tried Pani Poori once in an Indian resturant.....all i have to say it was yukkkkkkkkk!!! i just thaught that it would be same thing as Gol Gappae we have in Pakistan but it wasn't !! And furthur more, we don't have "Mutter" in the Pooris but we have "Channa"(Chick peas) in them and also the Pani we use is much more tasety and have lot of good spices. Unlike the one i tried in Indian resturant, it was so watery with an awful taste!!

Dah-puri and dah-badhy R basically brother and sister with meagre difference of size.

If prepared well, taste like heavenly food as i love them

You will get plenty of them in pakistan and would know the difference btween Indian and pakistani food, I ahve tried from indian shops but they r not a match for pakistani type

A newly wed bride asked the groom when she cooked for him, "how did I cook"?

He replied, "nice", but, my mother cooks better.

You always like the food you are used to of eating its not that mother cooks better its that you like tha taste she puts in the food. So when u eat Pakistani snacks like, dahi-bardhay or aalo-chole with dahi ... do keep in mind that it would taste different from the food from ur motherland.

Same thing happens to Pakistanis when they go to India some of them dont like indian food because they expect the same taste as they expect in their own motherland.

jee haan

Andhra where are you planning to stay in Pakistan? Hope you have a great time there

Waise you don’t really have mutter in paani puri right, according to my indian friends it’s the same as we get in Pak. Of course taste will differ a little, lekin who to chalta hai.

If you live between San Francisco and San Jose, try Bhavika's vegeterian restaurant on El Camino Real in Sunnyvale. This place does absolutely brilliant chat patta stuff (including golgappes). If anyone likes papadi chaat then this is the place for you.
