Well, red indians dont live in urban areas. On rare occasions, some native american family will allow some gori family to adopt their son/daughter, so that their kid can get an education and be out of the wilderness. Such cases would be 1 out of 10,000 perhaps. So the answer would be, no...you wont see any natives.
on the bright side, ur going to Union County College, where hispanics are in abundance. They dont look much different than native americans, or even desis, in many cases. So you'll feel right at home:) Dating....well everything goes.

Pakistan99, paki men date American women a LOT! or have casual affair. I personally have three US born paki friends with American gfs. And you will find a huge Paki immigrant population dating both Hispanics and white women. ( and others but these two races are most common to be selected by them for a relationship). The result of such relationship varies. Some are very happy ( most are not in case of immigrant population because of obvious cultural differences...food..religion when it comes to children,,etc. Those who have children try their best even if they are having big time marital problems to save the marriage but some do end up with a divorce. Those people who are first generation or second tend to assimilate more into the American culture and live the life an average American family lives.

I know two desis with goree wifes. Both Muslim with Kids growing up with ABCD attitudes.
I know one desi who has mrried a goree for the green card - I am working to get the wife knowledge of this so she can the INS on him...this guy has a wife and kids in Pakistan,
I knew another Desi in N.Y. who married a goree. The day he got the green card, the goree asked the husband that now that he has the green card will he divorce her. He looked her in the eyes for a few seconds and then said "No". The wife, later on, got diabetic and the husband would take care of like none I have heard or seen. Many in my family talk about him as an example.
As far as dating is concerned, the behavior is only restricted by their conviction and steadfastness in Islam. If it doesn't bother them to have girlfriends then they would keep them, simple. It's all a matter of conviction.
We have grown up outsite Pakistan but never ate non-halal. My kids are being taught the same. Even my 5 yr. old would go to store and grab some candy but would bring it to me to read the contents and tell him if it's o.k. for him to buy.
As much as I can see, it's a matter of conviction in Islam, Islamic teaching, culture and cultural norms, respect for the elders, their honor, etc.
But the beauty is, having said all this, majority of the people do not behave like this. There are a few "bad?" appeles everywhere. Though they are from Pakistan or Muslims does not mean that they are above such thoughts, behaviors, or vices.
