Do old habits die…I wounder
As soon as he died the fight for the “center” position started, although the differences among the contenders were not that obvious. But keen political analysts were there, even in that time, they saw the differences. The differences were not arisen due to the death but due to the political vacuum, which was created because of death. The vacuum was filled in by the political rivalry among the two families, the rivalry, which was already three generations old. One of the families which thought that the center position should be “theirs only” were not given the “chance”, the other family had the same position. For the next 15 years or so the power struggle was not in the open. Even till now the two were not that open, the difference was there. 20 years have passed since his death, and then, the rivalry became bitter, suddenly two factions appeared shouting at each other. This was the corner stone of establishing the political party. Incident after incident the bitterness got worse. The love of power was so overtaken by both that they came up with the legitimate use of force. To provide legitimacy to their rule or authority, force was used. Now one has to win and the other, would suffer. This was the clear divide. Innocents killed on both ends just for one family to have it all.
1400 years and on, the rule of force prevails. Give it what other names you want, but the rule of force is there. Based on that political rivalry, which started 1400 years ago of those two families, two new nations are formed. The rule of force very obvious, but we don’t want to admit it. 1979 the demise of Shah, the fighting in Tehran, the victory of Islamic Mujahideen. But the rivalry among the Mujahhideen Islam and
Mujahhideen Khalq is now showing up in Iranian politics. 1979 besiege of Kaaba in Saudi Arabia, 600 killed in the mosque, 150 beheaded in two weeks in each city to give the signal of “Rule of Power”. We all know that they were there for the Sauds. The mosque, its a symbol of peace for the masses, for the power hungry its just a building.
So this is the situation for the two leading countries, for the rest of the “follower” countries, same Rule of Force prevails.
