if so, can you recommend any??
Re: Do oily skin need primer?
With oily skin some face primers can have the reverse effect if you put too many 'mattifying' products on your skin, for instance it's our body's natural response to produce oil a.k.a sebum if skin becomes dry due to weather or even piling on products, however most people like to keep their makeup in place, and primers can help achieve those, only if you use the right one for yourself
I have tried the primers from smashbox (photofinish both oil-free and the regular one) both gave terrible results, never using those again.
but then after much research I discovered the NARS pore perfecting smoothing primer, which to my surprise was totally worth it, makeup stays in place all day, pores look much smaller and skin feels absolutely flawless
I can only recommend this one for oily skin, but do give other one's a try you never know which one might work. good luck :)

For foundations, primers are a must not matter what your skin type is. It helps the foundation go on smoother and helps it last longer.
If you have acne prone skin, the ones containing silicone (such as Smashbox Photofinish) may not be a good idea. It has a tendency to clog pores.
MAC Prep&Prime SPF 50 is a good one if you want one with SPF. Otherwise Clinique Pore Minimizer is also good. The one I’m using currently is from MUAC and I’m very happy with it. Facial Shine Control, Mattifier, Pore Minimizer

Jiia, If you are in the US, most Sephora carry NARS products, I know some neiman marcus and nordsrtrom do as well, you can definitely buy online, but it would be better to go try it first, I get mine from holt renfrew, but that department store is only located in Canada
